Before deciding which performance appraisal method to use, attention paid to the following points will increase the effectiveness and success of the appraisal (Bakan and Kelleroğlu, 2003, p.113);
• The structure of each method, what it measures and the problems that may raise should be analyzed well.
• The method to be used must be appropriate to the organizational structure and policies.
• The method to be used should be accepted and adopted by employees and managers.
